veryone must have dreamt at
some point in their lives to go and

once was the heart of a glorious kingdom.

Sukhothai figures as the first known
capital of the ancient Kingdom of Siam,
which in due time would become what we
know today as the Kingdom of Thailand.
It is characterised for its long history
of greatness and the pride that springs
from the all the figures that once ruled
the country from that very province. The
etymology of “Sukhothai” comes from
ancient Sanskrit. The word Sukha means
“happiness” something that shows us
the great joy the province held during
its formation. The word Udaya means
“emergence” and it represent the rising of
a prosperous land, which formerly grew
larger by the day.
The province of the “Dawn of
Happiness” is therefore an iconic
destination for those tourists who find
