Keeping them off the walls

If you have a child that just loves to crawl up the walls , CVA has the perfect program for them as well . You have seen American Ninja Warrior on TV ? Well CVA has Cache Valley Gym Ninjas in the house . With two programs available , one for younger kids and one for older , they have a parkour ninja to help your child learn how to do it the right way and in a safe environment .

Karate

One of the most popular programs at CVA is the karate classes taught by Sensei Lynn Meyers . His passion for Karate and his love of teaching shows through in every class at every age level . Sensei Lynn is an amazing person who has battled the worst odds in life to become more than just a teacher , he is a guide . Although Kenpo is the main Karate focus at Cache Valley Athletics , I found other disciplines available as well . All I had to do was call the front office for information and they gave me the names and phone numbers of Sensei Conners who has taught in Cache Valley for so many years , nobody can really remember when he started . I would love to take the time to focus information on every program available through the gym , with birthday parties , and parent ’ s night off , but the last program I want to tell you about is all about those forgotten kids .

The forgotten ones – Gymnastics for Special Needs

When you are a parent of a child who has physical or emotional limitations , you know how hard it is to find programs that are available just for them . But I think that providing a place to learn and play should be available to every kid , big and small . Cache Valley Athletics has the same focus , so they created a program that it sometimes feels nobody wants to help . If you have a child that has autism , ADHD , Down syndrome , emotional and social issues , even physical limitations , this does not mean your child does not deserve a gym class of their very own . CVA has created a program that is offered on Saturdays when the gym is less crowded and much quieter where kids of all abilities can come in and spend time on their own soft obstacle course that is set up to help kids work to improve their own physical strength and emotional focus . Each class is structured to maximize fun and comfort for both the child and the child ’ s mandatory escort . Learning to walk and climb may come naturally to most kids , but those who need a little extra time or help , can find it here . Who would have known that learning some basic gymnastics positions could help a child learn how to balance ? We offer a moment where time stands still and the only thing a child needs to think about is having fun with friends . Parents have seen their kids make improvements that have not been possible before .
“ My son is almost 3 . This class has helped his strength , coordination and listening to instruction . He has right side weakness and he has improved so much because of this class .” ~ Haley
Cache Valley has a commitment to all kids in the valley , not just the athletic competitors . They want all kids to come have fun and learn a skill without feeling pressure from peers and coaches . This is a truly judgement free zone where kids of all ages can find a place to grow and people to grow with .
