IHI was launched as a publicly traded company in April 2000 by Corin-
thia Palace Hotel Company Limited, its founder shareholder, which con-
tributed its Corinthia brand and a five-star hotel asset to the company.
IHI’s main businesses lie in the hospitality and real estate industries.
It acquires and owns hotels in prime locations for the long-term, most-
ly by way of investments. IHI also manages hotels, mostly as luxury
Corinthia Hotels, including properties owned by third-party investors.
As it expands its portfolio and develops the Corinthia Hotels brand,
it has also become involved in commercial and residential real estate
projects, typically in mixed-use developments featuring its hotels.
