Letter
from the chairman
Dear Colleagues,
Thanks again to the contributors, who made this edition a nice mix of pathology,
diagnostics and pharmacology. We are living in interesting times with a drought
in one part of the country and flooding in the other. There are implications for us
with increased movement the of food and animals to counteract malnutrition and
changes in vectors due to rain that could cause outbreaks with disease such as RVF.
As wildlife vets we are often on our own, not aware what is going on in other areas.
So be sure to keep you finger on the pulse by chatting to colleagues and reading the
news groups mails.
The dispensing license for veterinarians has been put on hold for three years, which
is very good news. Thank you to the committee members and others who worked to oppose this license. We
feel strongly that the simpler it is for vets to function the better and we continue to work to this goal.
We hope you are educated by the pages below.
Happy vetting.
