Alicia Galvan
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
In 2011, Alicia Galvan joined the United
States Army as a military police officer with
the goal of completing a bachelor’s degree
in nursing. She was discharged in 2014,
due to needing surgical decompression of
a newly diagnosed Chiari malformation.
Alicia’s hospital stay solidified her desire to
become a nurse, and shortly thereafter, she
began pursuing her degree.
