Dea Jolly and husband Darren were crowned The Block winners in 2015.
Dea’s eye for style was a winner with the judges and audiences alike and
she has continued in the public eye with a number of ambassadorial roles
and consulting as an interior stylist. We caught up with Dea to get her
advice for changing the style and décor of your home.
What advice would you give to
people looking to change the
style and decor of their home?
Research, research, research! There
are so many resources available to find
inspiration, so take a look at blogs, online
apps like Pinterest and Houzz and of
course books and magazines and find
your style. Be really clear on what you
like and how you want your home to
look and feel. Keep referring back to
your collected material when making
decisions to make sure you are on the
right track.

What looks are on trend for 2016?
I think we will see more pattern and
textures after a long period of solid
colours. In kitchens we will see two
or even three different colours in the
cabinetry instead of one colour. As in
fashion, I think we will see more eclectic
