24 E ORATIV AB A COLL N DESIG GARDEN PARTY For this glamorously bright Garden Party table, I worked with several other vendors to create a scene that used a fun and sophisticated color scheme. We chose purple and pink with gold accents, which contrasted beautifully with the tree! The white drape hanging from the branches gives the scene a whimsical and inviting ambiance and the various vintage décor such as the old suitcases, books, and teacups bring the party to life. With a theme such as a tea party, it’s all about the details and how they are laid out among the table. Don’t be afraid to stack, gather, or mix different elements on each table, you can be flexible! We were able to sneak in several DIY aspects onto the table, which truly made a difference. For less than $1 a piece, menus were made for each place setting using cardstock and a teacup stamp purchased at a local craft store. Place these inside an adorable napkin fold or halfway under the charger for a complete look. We also created an elaborate escort card design to guide guests to their seats. For about $5 a piece we found fabulous gold trimmed teacups at a salvage warehouse. In each cup Intrigue Designs incorporated a simple floral arrangements of roses, orchids, and antique hydrangea to accent the painted design on each saucer. To top off the escort card we created a small banner, which states the table number and name of each guest. Using computer paper with a home printer and painted dowel rods this look was completed for less than $10! The best part is, these teacups and floral arrangements not only act as a focal point for your guest tables but also make wonderful favors!
