By Kendra Lee Thatcher 14 The word-of-mouth about the whimsical-but-stunning flower arrange- ments are likely what will bring you to Petunia Bergamot in the heart of Lambertville, New Jersey, but it’s Laura Cullen’s savvy eye (and sweet smile) that’ll make it your new go-to. Here, the whitewashed walls are accented with industrial-pipe shelving stocked with colorful contents and wood-and-iron ladders, from which hang canvas clutches, graphic dishtowels and big, red heart pendant necklaces. Petunia Bergamot is the kind of shop, it quickly becomes obvi- ous, where you arrive intending to buy a thoughtful gift for a close friend and leave armed with goodies for yourself. Everything is made by small-batch artisans from across the continent, giving it the feel of a brick-and-mortar Etsy outpost, but curated.
