Apple Crisp with Oat Topping Difficulty Level- 2.5 Tips & Tricks: If the thought of an apple pie or turnover has you nervous, this is the perfect solution, and you likely have these ingredients at home already. Also know, some apples are better for baking than others. We recommend Granny Smith but there are plenty of great options. What you’ll need: 6 apples 2 Tbsp white sugar 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 cup cold butter How to bake it: 1. Heat oven to 350°F. 2. Cut up apples into thin slices. Remove skin and core. 3. Toss apples with white sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon in a bowl. Pour into 9 inch baking pan. 4. Mix brown sugar, oats, flour and 1 tsp cinnamon in a separate bowl. Use a fork to mash cold butter into the oats mixture until it looks like coarse crumbs. Spread the oats over the apples evenly.
