How to Care for your Fresh Cut Christmas Tree
Think of your fresh cut tree as a rather large cutflower. Prior to taking your tree home, our staff will give it a fresh cut, to assist the tree in taking up sufficient moisture. Once home,
place the tree in a stand with a water reservoir that holds at least 1 litre of water. Your tree may drink an entire litre a day for the first few days. Remember to check it a couple times a day to ensure the reservoir is kept full. Using warm water and tree preservative will also help to increase the life of your tree. For safety’s sake, avoid combustible decorations. Always turn off lights before going to bed or leaving home. Make sure your smoke detector is in
good working order and never place candles or other open flame sources
on or near your tree.
