Phase 5 SCQF Level 4
Whilst no formal qualifications are required, candidates will be subject to an
interview process to establish capability. The programme aims to develop
employability through a variety of methods both in and out of the classroom.
WHAT’S INVOLVED
This course aims to develop the skills which are essential for the workplace
and prepares the student for transition to employment. There is also scope
to progress to level 5 and above within mainstream courses after completion.
This may suit students who seek part-time work to help progress their career.
This course will offer a variety of different methods to enhance the student
experience from group projects to fundraising events, as well as traditional
employability content. This course includes:

The course is full-time and runs for 18 weeks starting in January and
September. It is available at our Kilwinning Campus.
Having completed this course, there are some
courses you can move on to which are pitched at
different levels that you can accomplish while working
at your own pace. These include Prince’s Trust, Step
into Youth Work and other College courses.
Successful completion has also lead to employment
or places with other training providers.
