Phase 2 SCQF Level 3
This second phase course is designed for young people aged 16 to 24,
who would benefit from a change of environment and teaching approach.
In order to further develop personal skills students will build on recent
learning experiences.
WHAT’S INVOLVED
24/7 Plus is a bespoke course, tailor-made to fit the needs of the young
people accessing it. It uses the themes of:
• Next Stage Learner Journey: Settling in, accessing services and next
steps/positive progression.
• Develop Citizenship: Looks at different cultures and beliefs and the
barriers that can be faced.
• Personal Health and Wellbeing: What is the importance of a healthy
lifestyle and how do you get it?
• The Media: What is mass media? What is social media? How can they
both be used positively and safely?
• Creative: How do you become creative? What do you need to do to get
there?
• Scottish History: Looking at early Scotland, its key figures and its
landscapes. This unit involves a project.
These themes are used to help the student develop skills and attributes that
will allow them to achieve and progress in college and throughout life.

some courses you can move on to for example:
PEZ, PEZ Plus, Prince’s Trust, Step into Youth Work,
