Hitch Fit Living Magazine Volume 9 - November/December 2016 | Page 33

With the multitudes of beauty topics I could write about for my first article in the Hitch Fit Living magazine, quite frankly, I found my self dizzy! As I pondered a direction to write, I realized it was getting late. It had been a long day. I started at 7 a.m, made the bed, saw my significant other off to work after making breakfast and throwing his lunch in a cooler. I drove to Hitch Fit Gym to hit the iron with Mr. Micah LaCerte himself. Then I showered, rushed back to the salon I work at for 9 hours of hustle and bustle. Next it was back home, pick up clothes from the cleaner, return phone calls, check email and social media..and more! Whew! Does this sound like YOUR day? I'm sure for those of you who have children, this would be a "light" day! These are all necessary tasks in our lives, and boy do those 24 hours fly by. The busy-ness of my day made me realize that having a quick and effective skin care routine is what both women and men need. Skin is the largest organ of the body, your daily regimen can have an impact on your health, both inside and out! Follow these simple steps for healthy skin: 1.) ORGANIZE: Know what you have in your drawers. Keep things tidy and organized. Drawer dividers are helpful for keeping your drawers tame. Toss out any skincare product that is expired or you don't use. Keep essentials such as makeup wipes, cotton pads, face loofah and wash cloths/towels handy. Write a list of any items you may need to order/purchase from your local beauty supply store or favorite beauty website. 2.) SIMPLE MORNING ROUTINE: The 3 basic components to a good skincare regimen is to Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize. Do this every morning. 3.)SIMPLE EVENING ROUTINE: Repeat the morning regiment, add an eye cream or serum appropriate for your skin. **4.) SPECIAL HOME TREATMENT(S): Use a non-abrasive exfoliator at least once a week when cleansing and for increased tone & hydration. For acne prone skin use a sulfur mask to control oil. For those days with no time to spare, keep easy skin care products on hand such as skin wipes or all-in-1 moisturizers. You’ll be able to cleanse make-up or dirt off your face in no time and the moisturizer will hydrate your skin while performing other tasks (brightening, lifting and restoring). With a little organization, a streamlined amount of products, healthy nutrition and a high consumption of water you are on your way to having a more healthy, bright and confident skin easily and effectively treated no matter how crazy your schedule!! **Do you have a beauty question for me?
