I was skeptical at first, and looked at their web-site and the programs they offered. Then
I read the stories about their clients and saw their pictures.
All I could say was, “Wow!” but again I was uncertain about their program. Their
testimonials just seemed too good to be true. Still not sure about any of it, I decided to
check out the gym in Overland Park and I talked to a trainer. He suggested I contact
Micah and Diana about the on-line programs. I was interested in the ‘Lose Weight, Feel
Great’ Program, but I had so many questions and doubts
Each of my questions were answered
but the biggest question I kept in the back of my mind was
“Am I too old to do this??
My journey started August 21. When I saw my pictures that I had to send to Diana I cried.
I looked awful in my workout pants and sports bra. It was just embarrassing and but it
was also a wake-up call to do something about it. Now don’t get me wrong, I still was not
sure about the diet, work-outs or if it would work for me because of my age. During the
first few weeks I learned so much about food and exercise. For me, the food was the easy
part of my program and I was never hungry. I also learned that I was very capable of
doing the workouts on my program.
I worked out with Hitch-Fit trainer, DeRon about every 2 weeks. He would help with my
workouts and incorporate other workouts. The difficult part of my transformation was
the work-out times, my schedule during the week only allowed me to work out in the
evenings. Now think about it… when you come home from work, it is so much easier to
just sit down and relax. But what kept me going was that I knew in my heart that this was
something I wanted to do for me. My weekly check-ins inspired me to keep going, I could
see I was losing weight and inches. My apprehension about the program was put to rest
and I realized what I was doing was a lifestyle change. Sure there were times when we
were out with friends and it would have been easy to just cheat, but I was determined to
stick to my plan.
During my transformation, Diana was very encouraging and continued to answer my
questions throughout my program. I looked forward to her positive and kind words. She
had not ever met me but her affirmation went a long way. My husband was also very
understanding and supportive of my decision to make a life style change and was helpful
in so many ways. His patience was commendable throughout my transformation. After
about 6 weeks, I noticed a difference in my body transformation. Then other people
started noticing the difference.
But there was something much more rewarding than losing weight going on with me, I
had gained so much energy and also was feeling good about myself. By November 20th, I
had lost 20 pounds and 10% body fat. People who have not seen me in several months
were astounded by the change. It was one of the best things I have done for myself. But
the best part of all is I feel great, I am healthy, I have more confidence in myself and I did
it at 60 years young!!!”
