aking assumptions is something
we all do, but shouldn’t—especially
when they aren’t based on facts-which is exactly what happened before a
skeptic—turned Believer—read Perpetrator,
and here is his review.
“A friend of mine who pastors one of
the largest African-American churches in the
city introduced me to one of his members who
writes Christian Fiction. The author began
to tell me about her novel and shared that a
national playwright was so moved by it that
she wanted to do a production based off of
it. I replied, “I’ll wait for the play!” We laughed
but the author persisted that I read and give
my feedback because of my profession. Since
her pastor spoke so highly of her, I did accept
the invitation of reading the novel and giving
my feedback. As she handed me the book,
I immediately thought to myself, “Another
Christian Fiction novel with probably more
fiction than Christian!” And boy was I wrong!
The title by its self grabs your attention, “Perpetrator”. Now either we know one, were one,
or are one. That alone had me interested and
thinking. ‘Perpetrator” deals with three main
characters with several issues ranging from
lies and deceit to controlling and manipulating. Not only is it an easy read but it is hard to
put down. It’s like a roller coaster ride, a part
of you wants it to stop but another part enjoys
the excitement!!”
