Por lo anterior, el trabajo muestra que es posible re-
presentar de forma indirecta, la erosión que provocan los
impactos de las partículas inyectadas, o los efectos del des-
prendido de cascarilla de óxido de hierro en la integridad
de los materiales refractarios al interior del horno.
Conclusiones
1. Se construyó un modelo numérico de un horno de re-
calentamiento de flamas directas, con validación térmi-
ca que muestra errores menores del 4% entre piróme-
tros o termopares de la planta Ternium Puebla y una
simulación numérica.
2. Se comprobó que la dinámica de fluidos gobierna la
trayectoria de partículas inyectadas cuando la densidad
es igual a la de un óxido de hierro.
