Old hero, new reboot
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Cast: Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr.
Genre: Action
Director: Jon Watts
In theatres: July 2017
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I feel like this version of Spider-Man is a cheap, knock-off, wannabe Deadpool. But what
I will give credit to is the way this movie has been filmed. If you are a fan of Captain America: Civil War, this movie is
another example of experiencing the content from the perspective of 15-year-old Spider-Man (sometimes filmed from his
mobile phone). For some reason, this made the film more ‘authentic’ and provided a refreshing change from all the other
superhero movies I’ve watched. Did I absolutely love the movie? No. But would I watch it again? Yes. – CHELS

To the Bone
Cast: Lily Collins, Keanu Reeves,
Carrie Preston
Genre: Drama, comedy
Director: Marti Noxon
Released: 14 July 2017
Unexpectedly funny and tastefully
candid, To the bone tells the story of
a young woman attempting to recover
from anorexia. It’s compelling, thought-
provoking and at times confronting
viewing, and arguably Lily Collins’ best
performance yet. – ANDREA
