Career Development Practitioner
What does your role involve?
I talk to current and future students about all
things career related – which is pretty broad,
given that ‘career’ includes all the roles you
undertake throughout your life: education,
training, paid and unpaid work, family,
volunteer work, leisure activities and more!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my family, reading
(mostly books about climbing very high, ice
covered mountains…), playing and listening to
music of all sorts and working in my garden.
What do you love most about USQ?
My job is incredibly varied, and I get to work
with not only my immediate team of highly
professional (yet frequently hilarious) people,
but a wide range of very talented people
across the university.

What would be your top tip to someone
wanting to start their own business?
Research, research, research. Get to know your
market incredibly well.
