National Indigenous Tertiary Education
Student Games (NITESG)
The countdown has begun for the 2015
National Indigenous Tertiary Education
Student Games (NITESG)! This year is a
big year for the NITESG, it is the 25th
anniversary of the event and it is being
held at the University of Newcastle. The
University of Newcastle was the first
university to hold the games, and it is fitting
that it should return for the anniversary.
With one sport played each day there
are opportunities for USQ students to be
involved in Touch, Volleyball, Netball and
Basketball. This is the perfect event to show
off your Olympic worthy skills and meet
other students. There is an action packed
social program with each night being
capped off with themed events.
USQ is subsidising student accommodation
for the event and are covering the cost
of student registration, so what are you
waiting for?
USQ Student Josh went along to the NITESG
last year in Perth and summed up his
experience as…
“… a great opportunity to
meet fellow students from
across Australia, share a year
and have a lot of fun.”
