sport USQ ELITE ATHLETE Emma Jackson | Triathlon How long have you been involved in the sport: I have been involved in triathlon for nearly 10 years now and have been doing some form of sport since I was 6 years old. I absolutely love exercising and it has always been a part of my life alongside my study. Greatest sporting achievement: Representing Australia at the 2012 Olympic Games and finishing in 8th place. Plus a bronze medal in the team relay at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and being the 2010 U23 World Champion. Top tip for those looking to get involved in your sport: Triathlon is a great sport for athletes of any age or ability. No matter if you’re a beginner or a more advanced athlete there is a race and training group for you. My main tip for anyone wanting to get involved in triathlon is just give it a go! Find your local club and contact them about training sessions and which ones would be best for you to go along to. Once you start you will be hooked! Fun fact about yourself: I recently got engaged. Favourite study snack: Any type of food, studying always seems to make me hungry! USQ ELITE ATHLETES SITE
