SPEED MEET THE USQ If you need a lift when you are studying you have come to the right place! If you have a motivational or something fun that gets you through long study sessions, make sure to share it with us at [email protected] TEAM Marita is a part of the Student Guild Advocacy Team. My job title: I am one of the USQ Student Guild Advocacy Officers (based in Springfield and two others at each of the other campuses) Describe your role in 10 words or less: Advocating students’ rights relevant to USQ policies, procedures and outcomes. I’ve worked at USQ for: I am not a USQ staff member, rather the Student Guild, a not for profit organisation providing help and support for USQ students. I’ve been with them since early 2011. Fun and Motivational Favourite quote: I often change my favourite quotes, my current is by Napoleon Hill – “Don’t wait. The time will never be just right”. Best tip for students: If you’re not sure of what to do, ask someone. You come to university to learn so no one expects you to be an expert before you get there. Where you will find her at USQ: The local Student Guild Advocacy office is in the USQ Springfield Library. Students can either drop in for general questions Mon– Fri from 10:00 am or make an appointment for in-depth help. To contact the Student Guild phone 1800 076 301 or email [email protected] “Krisi: Juggling a career, family and study” Posted October 2014
