HEB Reads!
Summer Reading
Kickoff Party
The Summer Reading Kickoff Party is part of
“HEB Reads!”, a collaboration among the HEB ISD
school librarians and the city libraries of Hurst,
Euless, and Bedford. The party draws thousands
of people with free books, food from local
restaurants, and a variety of fun activities.
HEB ISD Hall of Fame
HEB e FIT Health Fair
Established in 2008 for the
50th anniversary of HEB ISD,
the district’s Hall of Fame has now recognized
61 people whose support has been
instrumental to the district’s success.
This year’s honorees include Hollywood artist/
animator and Trinity graduate Roger Vizard,
and head football coach Steve Lineweaver,
who led the Trojans to 3 state championships.
Fall of 2016 marked the �irst HEBeFIT Health Fair, connecting families in the community with
local health organizations and service providers. More than 35 local groups were on hand at
Pennington Field to provide health screenings, information about �inancial assistance, and all kinds
of health information and services. Inside the stadium, kids enjoyed bounce houses, and outside
the stadium, the Optimist Club hosted a bicycle extravaganza!
