South Euless Elementary ’ s Writing Goal team hosted their annual 3rd and 4th grade Writing Night on Tuesday , February 10th . Students and their families rotated through nine writing stations , each emphasizing a different writing strategy . Families received materials to take home and practice those skills .
Euless Junior High would like to thank the Euless Police Department for making EJH their first stop with their new Community Services Trailer . Euless PD passed out over 200 ice cream treats to our students , let them play video games on the trailer ’ s TV , and brought out “ cornhole ” bean bag toss boards for all to enjoy .
Dalworth Restoration worked with 6 Stones to provide an extreme S . T . E . M . lesson for a group of HEB ISD students . At iFLY , the students had the opportunity to indoor skydive in a vertical windtunnel ! Throughout the experience , the students discussed and explored the science of the wind tunnel , including what ’ s happening at terminal velocity and during the feeling of weightlessness .
Hannah Sharp of Bedford Junior High and Tushar Chakravarthi of Spring Garden Elementary outlasted participants representing our 23 other elementary and junior high schools to win first and second place in the HEB ISD Star-Telegram
26 Spelling Bee . Hannah will continue on to compete against students from other local school districts .
