Harwood students successfully used an Escape Room to
prepare for the Reading STAAR. Each group was given
a box filled with many different locked objects. They had
to work as a team and use their problem solving skills to
decode the clues that would unlock each combination.
Thank you to Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley, Cook
Children’s Hospital, and Texas Health Resources for
donating Compressor Nebulizer Systems and sterile
nebulizer kits to our school nurses as part of a community
effort called Asthma 411.
Hurst Hills and Bedford Heights Elementary students faced off in a Rubik’s Cube Challenge at BCTEA. The competition began
with teams of five working together to solve a full tray of ten scrambled cubes. Afterward, individuals faced off in a series of
matches to crown an individual champion.
Thank you to our Trinity High School varsity football players, cheerleaders, drumline, students, and administrators who
helped second grader Keifer celebrate his Make-A-Wish news. Through the efforts of American Airlines’ sponsored mAAgic
35
flight and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, he will head to Disney World later this month.
