Christopher Adams , a fifth-grade teacher from HEB ISD ’ s River Trails Elementary , was honored with the Elementary Educator of the Year Award from the Association of Texas Professional Educators ( ATPE ).
Devin Melancon , a teacher from Meadow Creek , has been selected for the prestigious Lift Off Summer Institute to be held at NASA ’ s Johnson Space Center in Houston this summer . This nationally competitive program teachers who will increase their knowledge of science , technology , engineering , and math through space education .
Bell Manor Elementary pre-K students blasted off into space ! After reading and learning about outer space and our solar system , Mrs . Stewart ’ s students made helmets and backpacks for their flight and their space walk .
Euless Junior High teamed up with Harwood and Bedford Junior Highs to support former Euless soccer coach John Epps , whose new school community was hit by Hurricane Harvey . In just two days , the three junior highs filled a 26 ’ truck
34 with donations destined for Splendora , Texas .
