PUNK BOOK TALK
We've had talks about Mod and The Who, so the tie has come for a discussion about penned words on the Punk movement. Organised by Ian Snowball again, guest speakers will include The Jam's Rick Buckler, Garry Bushell and members of original bands The Lurkers (Pete Haynes), Segs and Dave Ruffy from The Ruts and Jeff Turner from The Cockney Rejects. Tickets are priced at £15 for the event on Saturday 15th December and available here
MOD XMAS BALL
The annuanl event,organised by Steve Marriott's mate John Hellier is another star-studded event. Taking place at the 100 Club on Saturday 12th December, the line-up this time features STONE FOUNDATION on stage with Creation guitarist Eddie Phillips with support from Fay Hallam. At last the wait is over.... TUBBY HAYES; A Man In A Hurry is set for a release date on DVD of October 26th. With some big fans involved; Martin Freeman, Paul Weller, Eddie Piller and some original fans, friends and players also lending their memories and insights, this documentary on one of the U.K.s greatest Jazz players should hopefully be high on most people's wants list.
