U.S. Farm Report’s College Tour Visits MU
In April, FCS Financial
sponsored U.S. Farm
Report as they travelled
to Columbia, Mo., for
a college tour segment.
Tyne Morgan, host
and University of
Missouri (MU) alumna,
interviewed MU
experts Scott Brown,
Pat Westhoff and Kevin
Bradley. They covered the
Farm Bill, trade tariffs,
NAFTA and dicamba.

Bradley, Pat Westhoff, Scott Brown and host Tyne Morgan.
University of Missouri
(MU), shared that tariffs with China will ultimately lead to lower profits for producers which is currently being
seen with pork producers.
Pat Westhoff, FAPRI Director at MU, said it would be difficult to get a Farm Bill passed because there must
be a resolution in the house and senate. The truth of his statements rings clear as the bill failed to pass in May.
At the time of this printing, the House passed a Bill and it is currently being debated in the Senate. The current
Farm Bill expires in September.
Kevin Bradley, Extension Weed Scientist at MU, discussed the 2017 dicamba experiment. He said the
Environmental Protection Agency will make a decision on the future of dicamba in November.
