Pasture, Rangeland, Forage (Rainfall Index) Insurance Program 2019 Sales Closing Date – November 15, 2018 • • • • • • The PRF insurance plan is an area insurance plan for pasture, rangeland and forage grown for the intended use of grazing by livestock or haying. Policy provides single peril coverage for a decline in rainfall for an insured grid area and not established on an individual farm level. Coverage levels are available from 70% - 90% in 5% increments (percentage of average rainfall). Productivity factors allow individualization of coverage based on production of the crop and may be selected from 60% - 150% in 1% increments. Must select a minimum of two, 2-month index intervals (of a possible 11 intervals) where precipitation is important to operation(Jan.-Feb., Mar.-Apr., etc.). Do n’ t Fo rge t !
