4 . Once the paint is dry, carefully peel off each
letter. If any French Linen has seeped under a letter, touch it up with some Old White.
5 . Use the brush to apply clear wax all over the
drawers and carcass, wiping off any excess with a clean, dry cloth as you go.
6 . As this was a very old and roughly made piece of
furniture, a little sanding seemed appropriate. Rub coarse sandpaper lightly over the surface, including the handles, to soften the look.
