Luxury brands were once hard to find in Aberdeen until Tytti Peltoniemi opened her boutique and started selling high-end products sourced from around the world

“ Every month when Elle Decoration comes out I go through and every time , every single magazine has something that I sell ,” says Tytti Peltoniemi , the 35-year-old owner of the Peltoniemi Concept Store in Aberdeen .
A product featured in a magazine like Elle Decoration is confirmation that ‘ she did it ’: she found and stocked an upcoming new brand and before they were spotted by the press .
Tytti ( pronounced 2tea ), who previously made and designed bespoke handbags , opened the concept store in 2009 to support her creative practice . She had noticed a gap in the market : “ I thought that the shopping was so dismal in Aberdeen . So , along with my bags I started selling brands that nobody else was selling .”
It was over four years ago that Tytti moved to Scotland from Amsterdam . In 2005 , after finishing
