Four years ago Helen launched
her business Lady Crimplene, a
pop-up shop that sells secondhand clothes, collectables and
accessories from the ‘50s to ‘80s.
Three to four times a year Helen
holds open house events at her
home turning her bedroom into
a shop. She also, occasionally,
opens her home on Saturday
mornings for appointments
and every year she has a stall at
the Crystal Palace Overground
Festival.
Helen has been an avid collector
of second-hand items since
the early ‘80s and setting up a
business selling vintage pieces
had been on her mind for many
years.
“I’m constantly on the lookout
for things. If I’m away anywhere
I’ll visit any charity shops in the
area and vintage markets.”
