TURMERIC, GINGER AND
LEMONGRASS TONIC
Detox, Anti-Inflammatory, Enhances Immunity, and Soothes Digestion
Servings: 4 cups
Prep Time: 10-15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
Total Time: 25-35 minutes
INGREDIENTS
ɪ ɪ 4 cups filtered water
ɪ ɪ 4-5 inches (5-6 tablespoons) fresh
organic turmeric root, sliced
ɪ ɪ 4-5 inches fresh organic ginger
root, sliced
ɪ ɪ 2 cups lemongrass stalks and
leaves, chopped
ɪ ɪ 1 teaspoon black pepper
ɪ ɪ 2-3 tablespoons organic raw honey
PREPARATION
STEP 1
1. 1. In a teapot, bring water to a boil
over medium heat.
2. 2. Add lemongrass, reduce heat to
low, and simmer 5-10 minutes.
3. 3. Turn off the heat, cover teapot
with the lid, and reserve for 10
minutes.
STEP 2
1. 1. Strain the tea into a blender.
2. 2. Add turmeric, ginger, and black
pepper. Pulse 1-2 minutes.
3. 3. Strain the mixture.
4. 4. Place tonic in a mason jar, add
honey, and refrigerate.
5. 5. Dilute if too strong, and add
fresh lemon juice and ice, if
desired.
Drink 1/2 cup, 2-3 times a day.
Keeps for a week while refrigerated.
