It’s the right time to enjoy yourself and experiment, without thinking about how your actions influence your future. Finding a job may be enough for all the pieces to fall into place, but for most, success is more complex. Cultivate it now, so it can pay dividends later. With that in mind, here are 15 things young adult men should keep in mind to become successful, happy adults: While it’s important to live in the now, you SEE should also think about THE BIG the bigger picture, PICTURE like your future goals. Envision a successful life and create a map for it to help you reach your goals. They don’t have to be exact but keep them in mind and they’ll steer you in the right direction. Imagine your future. What will your life be CREATE like? Which skills will A VISION you possess? What kind of person will you be? Focus on the skills and traits that will get you to your goal. Figure out which to keep and which to toss. To Be Successful In His Thirties DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS Aside from being a source of envy for many, comparing yourself to others, will not help you. What worked for them may not work for you. The circumstances may be different from yours. You are your own person with a unique path to follow. It may be difficult to resist comparing your life to theirs, especially in the current culture. Take a moment to breathe and clear your mind. Soon, it will be like second nature. ALLOCATE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY WHERE ITS MOST NEEDED Time and energy aren’t infinite, so don’t waste either on trivial things that hold you back from success, like a bad relationship, an aimless business project, or wasting time on social media. Rid yourself of time-wasting habits and focus on things that either help you personally or professionally. FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS Distractions are a dime a dozen. They make it difficult to stay on track. But despite its perks, it will all be obsolete in a few years, if not sooner. Focus on things that bring you pleasure. Do things that help you reach your goal. Time spent enjoying life isn’t time wasted as long as it’s something that matters.
