Mechanical to Electrical Conversion
( MEC ) ( 5 Days ) Course Cost: £1,140+VAT
Course Overview:
This course will provide you with a basic knowledge of electrical theory along with an understanding of
electrical machine principles, and isolation requirements of electrical plant for mechanical work.
It will provide an insight into the electrical Safe Systems of Work, the requirements of the Electricity at Work
Regulations and the requirements of BS7671:2008 (2011).
The content covers Low Voltage equipment, photovoltaic energy sources, and connection and verification of
electric motor wiring. It will also include practical exercises in testing and fault finding of electrical circuits.
The course is aimed at those working within a Mechanical and Electrical environment who would benefit from
an increased awareness of electrical principles and practices as part of their current role. It is also a good
foundation course for those likely to undertake other electrical courses.
