eHEALTH DIGITAL NATIVES T he 2017 eHealth Digital Natives competition was an amazing success. eHealth Ireland, eir, Samsung and Microsoft worked together to reach out to primary & secondary schools to ask them to be a part of Health Innovation Week. Pupils were challenged to think about the impact technological innovation will have on healthcare by 2030. Even though it was the first year of this competition, there were over 250 individual entries from over 40 schools across Ireland. The pupils shared their vision with us and did indeed think BIG. They outshone all of us with their creative, limitless, thinking and innovations about what healthcare could look like in 2030. Finalists were invited to the Innovation Showcase and with the support of some fantastic mentors from a range of backgrounds & organisations, they worked on their project before pitching to the judges.
