Connecting for the Future: Elderly Mental Health ACCENTURE, THE DOCK eHEALTH INNOVATION CHALLENGE The eHealth Innovation Challenge took place over 2 days on the 21st & 22nd of October 2017 at The Dock, Accenture’s global research and incubation hub in Dublin. The theme of the Hackathon was mental health in older people and participants were asked to build a working prototype of something that could harness the power of technology to help our colleagues, patients and HSE network to better tackle this issue. At an Ecosystem event on the 4th September a working group had come up with a brief for the Hackathon and this and other resources were at the teams’ disposal (e.g. Personas & Scenarios, open data and more). Also throughout the weekend, various mentors from Accenture, Oracle & the HSE came into talk to and support the teams. Their contributions were invaluable, bringing different perspectives, constructive criticism and fresh energy and enthusiasm. This was much appreciated by all of us. Social media provided lots of great input and advice too, even facilitating some expert visitors dropping by! 21st & 22nd October, 2017 JUDGES • The winning teams were: • • • • • • 10 Page Pat Power Managing Director, Healthcare, Accenture Ireland After an intense one and half days work the 5 teams pitched to the panel of judges.
