CASE STUDY 1 “I KNOW MYSELF JUST TRYING TO DO A FEW THINGS TO IMPLEMENT NEW PROCEDURES; IT’S VERY HARD TO CHANGE YOUR WAYS.” – Pharmacy owner CHALLENGES SOLUTIONS Despite the solid platform and commitment to change shown by the owners, this pharmacy still faced a number of challenges in the execution of its goals. Having just undergone a renovation and refit, the owners reported that everyone was still getting used to working in the new environment. During that time, which included one of the owner pharmacists being on leave, a number of things had “fallen by the wayside”. These included staff education, regular team meetings and community events, and would need to be re-invigorated as part of the change process.
