Mission Statement
The Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center will promote
physical and emotional health; prevent disease, injury and disability; and protect
the environment through the assessment of needs, the development of policy
and the provision of accessible, quality services.
Community Collaboration
To accomplish its mission, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center works with many
organizations throughout not only Lake County, but nationally, including, but not limited to the following:
Churches, Synagogues and Other Religious Organizations such as Catholic Charities, Lake County United, Love, Inc., and
Lutheran Social Services
County Agencies, Municipal and Township Governments, Fire Departments and Law Enforcement
Educational Institutions such as Public School Districts, Private Schools, College of Lake County, Rosalind Franklin
University of Medicine & Science, Illinois State University, Northern Illinois University, University of Illinois at Chicago,
Loyola University, North Park University, Lake Forest College, Rush University, Benedictine University, Capella University,
Dominican University, Roosevelt University and the Lake County Regional Office of Education
Environmental Organizations such as the Alliance for the Great Lakes, Audubon Society, Sierra Club, etc.
