Center, focusing on inclusive
Communication. Led by speakers
devona F. pierre, ed.d. with the
university of South Florida’s diversity & equal opportunity office and Camille Blake, esq.,
the director of equal opportunity and Compliance at uSF, the CLe covered specific
words and phrases that are commonly misused in communication regarding age, class,
disabilities, ethnicity, gender, language, looks, race, religion, and sexual orientation, and
offered recommendations on how to better communicate about differences.
