18.Find the center of the apron body by folding it in half and marking with a pin along the top raw edge.
Find the center of the apron band/ties by folding in half the long way and marking with a pin. Match
the centers at the top raw edge of the apron, right sides together, opening up one folded ¼” edge of the
apron band/tie to pin along the apron body.
19.Stitch the apron band/ties to the apron body with a ¼” seam, backstitching at the beginning and end,
removing pins as you sew.
20.With the apron face down on the ironing board, fold the apron band/ties over to the back of the apron,
making sure that the folded-over edge just covers the line of stitching holding the band/ties to the front.
Press well.
21. Pin binding from the front. Continue to pin the folded over ties together beyond the sides of the apron,
matching up the folded edges as you go.
22.Begin stitching at one end of the ties, stitching close to the pinned edge, removing pins as you sew.
23.Continue stitching all the way across the apron body and through to the other end of the tie.
24.Remove apron from the machine, cut all stray threads, and press well

Joe’s Project
Sharon and Nancy will have the block kits ready for pickup at this meeting. Each kit will make two 9 1/2”
blocks and we will meet in the new year to assemble the blocks (it will be the ‘Radiant’ pattern that
Sharon showed of the finished quilt last meeting). We need 15 people to do the blocks so if you feel you
can do these two simple blocks by early in January, please ask one of the ladies for a kit.
We will schedule a get together after the holidays to assemble the quilt top. Thanks to all who offered to
help.

to the lab? Currently our Design Lab can only accept one image at a time. This means, if you would like to combine multiple images into say 1m of printed fabric, you will need to layout the fabric in a design program like Photoshop before uploading it to the lab. They will print on a variety of fabrics - cotton, silk, etc...

• Total cost is $370 which includes 4 nights including bedding and towels, 4 very hearty breakfasts and 4
delicious dinners. For those that wish I will collect $40 monthly from Oct through May for the balance of
$320. Otherwise you will be required to pay $120 November, 100 February and $100 May. Your registration fee can be refunded until Dec should you need to drop out.
• After the 1st of May you will have to find a replacement for yourself as we are required to pay the cost of
your room should you cancel.
