If your KitchenAid Mixer goes for long
periods of time without being used (tut,
tut!) it’s a good idea to give it a run with
an empty bowl every so often. This will
prevent the grease that lubricates the
gearing from separating which can cause
oil to leak down the beater shaft or out
of the speed control or lock lever.
