MARY KATRANTZOU: CROATIA
In the summer of 2014, I sailed with friends along the
Dalmatian coastline from Porto Montenegro to Croatia.
It was a magical trip in which we spent time exploring the
ancient towns of Budva and the Bay of Kotor, right up to the Old Town
in Dubrovnik. To be able to spend quality time with friends on vacation
is so precious as we all have busy working lives. I have fond memories
of relaxing on the boat and taking in the surroundings and beautiful
landscape—gazing out to sea of crystal-clear waters with a cocktail within
easy reach! We had long lunches with local produce—the octopus and
langoustine were real standout dishes. It was the perfect summer spent
with dear friends, which made me realise the importance of taking time
out to spend time with them.
