Annual Report
The visible signs of change that the community may have noticed
include the rebranding of our police uniform badges and patch-
es that occurred in our scheduled replacement and the markings
on the police cars that occurred during our fl eet reorganization.
Though these may be the most visible material changes to be seen
publicly they pale in proportion to the leadership, policy, and pro-
gram improvements that your sworn and civilian leaders at all ranks
have accomplished as a police department to serve you better. As
a Citizen or Visitor to our city we hope you fi nd our 2017 Annual
Report a positive change. To the nearly 200 Harlingen Heroes that
walk the halls of every HPD facility and take the 50,000 plus 911
calls annually into the homes, businesses, and streets of Harlingen
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to keep us safe.
