HEALTH & WELL-BEING continued FITNESS CENTER: NEW LOCATION! Visit the newly located fitness center in the Multi-Purpose Wing, located on the Northeast corner of the facility. The fully equipped fitness center has everything you need to keep yourself fit and is available free of charge. Equipment includes a multi-station gym, a rack of dumbbells, two adjustable benches, upright & recumbent bikes, treadmills and elliptical machines. If you are 16 or older and it is your first time visiting the fitness center, stop by the Lee County Parks and Recreation office in room 9 to fill out a waiver form. FITNESS CENTER HOURS Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm Saturday: 9:00am - 3:00pm Sunday: Closed SUSAN JOHNSON THE HEALTHY AGING BRAIN Thursdays, January 18, 25 & February 1, 2018 | 10:00am Woman’s Club Room | $50/series of three This three-session series is for anyone interested in doing all they can to live a long, productive and brain-healthy lifestyle. The series focuses on daily living choices in diet and nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress reduction and emotional well being, and the neurological effects of these choices. What is normal in brain aging, as well as current research in neurogenesis and neuroplasticity will also be discussed. The format will include content presentation and discussion. Susan Johnson, MA, will lead and facilitate the series. Registration is limited to 20 participants. Susan Johnson, MA, is a psychotherapist who has worked in hospice, counseling and program development.
