FORGET THE TO DO LIST.

MAKE A SUCCESS LIST.

Keller talks about a “success list” as opposed to a “todo list.” He argues that “to do lists” are meant to keep you busy, not to inch you closer to success. The Success list is your dominos lined up. Your target (the moon) is your Someday Goal.

To figure out your success list, you first start off with your Someday Goal: the general idea of what you wish to achieve. “I want to be a self-sufficient entrepreneur that makes $5,000 per month.” This goal should be catered to what you think success is.

After you have established your goal, you begin to work backwards. You then start working on your 5-year goal, that would lead into your Someday Goal. In other words, you need to achieve this 5-year goal to be able to achieve the Someday Goal.

Once you have figured out your 5-year goal, you’ll then start focusing on your 1-year goal. What do you need to achieve this year to be able to get closer to your 5-year goal? Once this has been established, you’ll then work on your 1-month goal.

What do you need to achieve in this month to get you closer to your 1-year goal? Now that you have figured this out, you’ll then start focusing on your 1-week goal. Once more, what do you need to achieve this week, to be able to achieve your 1-month goal?

When you’ve established your 1-week goal, you’ll now start focusing on your 1-day goal. What do you need to achieve today, to be able to achieve your 1-week goal?

Finally, when you’ve figured out your

1-day goal, you’ll turn your focus on your “Now Goal.” What do you need to do RIGHT NOW to achieve your

1-day goal?
