Minimalism

Minimalism has taken over our lives and is now taking over our feed. Maybe it’s because our social feeds are overflowing with posts and videos and it’s time we tone it down a little. Hashtags like #desaturatemyfeed and #seekthesimplicity are trending and it seems that “less-is-more” will be our motto for a while.

Tip: Use grey, black, white, and beige as your main colors with a little pop of gold, pink, or bright blue.

The Top 7 Instagram Trends for this Fall

Less Staging

Many millennials are experiencing “marketing fatigue,” becoming immune to staged pictures that are designed to sell them something. One of 2019’s biggest Instagram trends is a more candid, natural-looking feed of people in action and candid flat-lays.

Tip: Try not to over-think your staging and just have FUN.

Gradients

Already a major design trend in 2018, gradients continue to be popular. With leading brands like Spotify, Apple, and even Instagram themselves using gradients on their website or social media feeds, gradients are a popular way to add color and depth to your designs.

Tip: Use monochromatic colors to create a beautiful, natural-looking gradient.
