Minimal Tech

Learning Curve

We;ve talked about all the great things a website can offer you, so

now we need to discuss why so many people choose to sell on Etsy.

Creating and maintaining your own website might be much easier and accessible than it was 10 years ago, but it is still a lot more work than opening a store on Etsy. There is most definitely a learning curve here and it can be slightly overwhelming if you’re not tech-savvy or if you’re allergic to computers.

You don’t need to know how to code (thank god!) and can find website builders that will allow you to get it done as easily as possible, but I’d be lying if I was saying that it isn’t more work than setting up an Etsy shop. It absolutely is.

This is by far the most attractive aspect of selling on Etsy.

ETSY REALLY DOES a great job at giving you all the tools you need to get started selling your products as quickly and as easily as possible.

Don’t worry about web design, hosting, maintenance, a domain name, shipping integration, email software, e-commerce carts, or any of that stuff. They take care of it all for you.

I must say that’s extremely enticing and it gives you the opportunity to test out your idea and to get started without the commitment in time or money that’s required when setting up your own website, not to mention the headache.
