Meet the Editors
Martiel Beatty
Megan Ross
Founder, Educator & Artist Consultant Community & Social Manager
Martiel is an expert blogger, author of Blog
Notes, and GIMP Wizard. I am the founder
of Sewmantra and The ARTcademy. She has
built, consulted, mentored companies and
individuals on their blogs, businesses, and
websites since 2000. She has worked with
teams and individuals of all talents and skill
levels .
Megan is a mother of two; a four-year-old girl and
a one-year-old boy. When those two aren’t
keeping her busy you can often find her working
on various projects for work and school (She in
marketing!)
Megan has been running her own website “Full
Lives, Flat Broke,” which offers giveaways and
reviews. She also works freelance as a marketer
and PR for a few small companies.
Martiel holds degrees in Anthropology,
French, Drafting and Project Management.
She has been working in fiber arts since 1986, Megan is excited to join The Artcademy Team graphics since 1998 and Social Media and
she lives and works out of a home office in Ohio.
Blogging since 2000. She currently works
from a home studio just outside Washington,
D.C. on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake
Bay.
We would also like to thank Linda Amerigo for her assistance with this issue. She
was a huge help with connecting us with new connections in the art community so we
could bring you great tutorials and articles. Thank you Linda for helping us make
