Residency Curriculum
Unique Features
Three week rotations: The curriculum is based on 17 three-week block rotations each Program year.
Having three week rotations increases elective time, wellness, and the variety of patient exposure over a
shorter period of time.
Longitudinal Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Curriculum: The Family Medicine Residency
Program has a dedicated faculty member to oversee resident education and involvement in QI/PS
projects throughout residency, involving inpatient and outpatient patient safety initiatives. To increase
education for QI/PS, the residency is a designated IHI chapter.
Areas of Concentration: There are three Areas of Concentration available to enhance education for
residents with particular interests in Women’s Health, Sports Medicine, and Health Disparities.
