Sports Medicine Fellowship
Halifax Health’s Sports Medicine Fellowship brings additional expertise and opportunities to Family Medicine
Residency training. Our Sports Medicine Fellow and certified sports medicine faculty members work closely
with Residents in our musculo-skeletal clinics, training rooms, and as team physicians at multiple sporting events.
Community orthopedists, psychologists, physical therapists and trainers help provide a multi-disciplinary approach.
These popular experiences have inspired some of our own Residents to continue on for fellowship training.
Center for Family and Sports Medicine
Halifax Health - Center for Family and Sports Medicine is located in a
state-of-the-art facility which is conveniently located on our main
medical center campus. The Center for Family and Sports Medicine is
recognized by the NCQA as a Patient - Centered Medical Home.
The clinic houses examination rooms, an office lab, procedural/treatment
rooms and a family counseling room. The resident/faculty consultation
rooms have timely reference resources for case discussions as well as
computer access to essential networks. There is a conference room
equipped for didactic presentations.
